Our Team

Founder & Visionary

Nate Smith

Nate is a Kentucky transplant, who previously lived in six different states and has traveled to over a dozen countries.  He is passionate about what the Spirit is doing in all parts of the earth, especially in his now home state of Kentucky.  Endurance races like half IronMan competitions have become a new hobby.  In town, you can find him at a local coffee shop drinking chai tea talking about prayer, missions or the most recent pop culture event.

Jacob & Alayna Dorrell

Jacob was raised by parents who were in full time ministry, stewarding revival, and Alayna was raised as a missionary in the Philippines. Jacob studied Spanish and International Politics in school, until the Lord called him out of university to invest in socio-economically disadvantaged youth, and to provide interpreting services for the state of Kentucky. Alayna graduated from EKU and is a labor and delivery nurse. When they’re not working or doing ministry, they can be found traveling, cooking, renovating their home, or spending time with family and friends. Alayna and Jacob are passionate about revival, social justice and mercy, missions, and spreading the message and power of Christ.

Jorge & Ashley Castorena

Jorge and Ashley grew up in Louisville, KY. He studied Public Relations and Journalism at Asbury University while Ashley studied Political Science at the University of Kentucky. They are passionate about revival, the Church, social justice, community development, and graphic design. They live in Wilmore with their energetic doberman-australian-shepherd-mix, Charlotte. They can be found playing Scrabble, going to the movies, hiking, and running 5Ks and marathons.

Diego Vogel

Diego was born and raised in Brazil, went to college in Texas, and somehow ended up in Kentucky. When he's not building websites or running endless errands, he likes to hike, bike, and see new places far and near (mostly near). As a new dad he loves spending time with his little boy and can't wait to put him to work. Diego is excited to see how the Lord works through 120 Counties in his own life and the lives of those he encounters on the trips.

Ariane Arquisola

Ariane was born and raised in Macon, Georgia. In 2013, she moved to Wilmore, KY and attended Asbury University. After graduating in 2017 having studied Worship Arts for 4 years, she realized the Lord was calling her to stay and sow into the ways He’s specifically moving in Kentucky. The Summer following her graduation she, as well as many others, began Brothers X Sisters Worship Collective. She is a new dog mom to her terrier mix, Milo, and loves donuts.

Rachel was born in Minnesota, raised in Colorado and attended high school and college in Kentucky. She has has a big heart for people to hear and see the gospel in their lives and desires to see it transform communities. Passionate about prayer, evangelism, and social justice, Rachel is excited to partner with 120 counties to advance the kingdom and see the spirit move in Kentucky

In her free time she likes to hike, bike, travel and photograph all the beauty Kentucky has to offer. She lives in Lexington and you can find her biking around town and building relationships everywhere she goes.

Rachel Morris

We believe the Holy Spirit works through the Body of Christ. 120 Counties has incorporated mature men and women of the faith to be a spiritual covering for this project. Representing different denominations, ethnicities and ages, each professes a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and has a passion for both prayer and missions. They bring varied occupational and ministry experience. Each time a 120 Counties team heads onto the field or a major decision needs to be made, our spiritual covering team is notified with prayer requests and updates. We value this group's shepherding and guidance. We find this to be Biblical in how we do ministry with submission (Ephesians 5:21) and guidance (Proverbs 11:14) from those older in their faith.

120 Counties is also a branch of Treehouse Ministries, a non-profit based in Central Kentucky with a mission of connecting believers and organizations to empower people and together further advance the Love of God. Treehouse and its Board of Directors oversee finances for 120 Counties and maintain overall legal and ethical accountability.
